We were delighted to welcome Dr. Christian Sprinkmeyer, Chief Product Officer (CPO) of tonies, once again as a guest speaker in our lecture series on “Technology and Innovation Management.”

tonies, headquartered in Düsseldorf, is one of today’s most influential companies in the field of child-friendly audio and technology products. With the Toniebox, the company created an entirely new product category: a digital audio experience designed specifically for children, combining technology, storytelling and a tangible product experience.

In front of around 200 students, Dr. Christian Sprinkmeyer shared fascinating insights into the success story of tonies as well as current developments around the Toniebox 2 and the company’s new gaming-oriented approaches. Speaking openly and authentically, he addressed strategy, product-led growth and the question of how new product categories can be created and further developed.

The many questions from the audience reflected the students’ strong interest in practical perspectives on innovation and growth. This led to a lively exchange on pricing models, innovation cycles, competition and target group selection.

We sincerely thank Dr. Christian Sprinkmeyer for his inspiring contribution and openness. His visit was once again a valuable enrichment to our lecture series and provided students with valuable insights into modern product and innovation management. We are particularly grateful for his continued engagement and the personal exchange with an experienced leader who brings together entrepreneurial practice and strategic product development in a highly tangible way.
