The TIE Institute is currently offering an empirical master’s thesis focusing on circular economy and sustainable innovation, conducted in cooperation with the phosfad project.

The thesis centers on the analysis of market potential, regulatory frameworks, and business models for a novel biotechnological phosphorus recovery technology derived from anthropogenic waste streams.

By combining market and stakeholder analyses with the development of concrete commercialization scenarios, the thesis provides a practice-oriented contribution to the strategic positioning of a research-based venture in the field of phosphorus recycling. The results are also intended to serve as a foundation for a potential StartupTransfer.NRW application.

The master’s thesis is aimed at students with an interest in sustainability, innovation management, entrepreneurship, and the circular economy. Thematic priorities can be individually tailored in consultation.

The full exposé for the master’s thesis is available here as a PDF. If you are interested, we look forward to hearing from you.
