Invitation: “Innovating towards a Circular Economy” with Dr. Antonia Samakovlis

We are delighted to welcome Dr. Antonia Samakovlis back to the TU Dortmund University for another inspiring talk within our course “Strategic Technology & Innovation Management.”

Dr. Samakovlis is a researcher in natural risk management at the Institute for Environmental Sciences, University of Potsdam. Her research focuses on corporate flood preparedness and on bridging the gap between scientific knowledge and practical implementation, particularly in managing water-related risks.

Following her well-received lecture last year, we are pleased to have her with us once again. This year, Dr. Samakovlis will provide deeper insights into current approaches and challenges in advancing the circular economy, offering practical examples of innovative and sustainable business models.

In addition to her academic expertise, Dr. Samakovlis brings valuable industry experience from her time at the Boston Consulting Group, where she worked in carbon footprinting and sustainability consulting.

Her talk promises to be an excellent opportunity to learn more about sustainable innovation strategies and how they can be successfully implemented in practice. We warmly invite all interested participants to join!
