Design Thinking Seminar with Vonovia
As part of the winter semester's Design Thinking seminar, the students dealt with challenges faced by Vonovia.
As part of the "Design Thinking" master's seminar at the TIE Institute - Technology, Innovation & Entrepreneurship, students have been working on the challenges facing Vonovia this semester. As Europe's leading housing company, Vonovia is continuously developing its services in order to create added value for its customers. As part of this, the students in the seminar were asked to work on new, innovative business ideas in small groups. Topics included the integration and networking of tenants and the provision of healthcare services.
In the seminar, the student teams first used the design thinking method to work out the specific problem of the identified target group in order to subsequently find creative solutions for them. This showed that design thinking is an iterative process that is continuously influenced by new findings. The students were initially able to share the initial results of their teamwork in an interim presentation. After incorporating the feedback, the teams then had the opportunity to present their ideas as part of a final presentation at Vonovia's headquarters in Bochum .
In addition to the university support provided by Prof. Dr. Tessa Flatten and Désirée Martinez-Schroeder and the contact persons at Vonovia , the students also had access to mentors from the Ruhr School of Design Thinking as part of the "MentorInn" program. We would like to take this opportunity to thank
